One of the new raid instances that came out with the World of Warcraft’s Burning Crusade expansion is Karazhan. The 10-man instance has a lot of interesting challenges and a boatload of sweet loot just waiting to be found. The catch: you have to complete a long chain of quests before you can get into Karazhan. Want to get into Medivh’s home and loot all the treasure? Get started by simply following these simple tips.
- 1.) Get to level 70. Once your character levels to 58, you can proceed to Outland and once there, character leveling, completing quests and dungeon runs can take you to 70 in a couple of months of casual play.
- 2.) Obtain a flying mount. They can be purchased from vendors found in Shadowmoon Valley once you hit the level 70 mark. The Riding skill and the basic mount will cost you at least 900 gold.
- 3.) Good gear is essential. Depending on your class and specialization, this can be just about anything. Quest rewards in Netherstorm and Shadowmoon Valley, along with Auchindown instances and the Steamvaults in Coilfang Reservoir will help you get the necessary gears and equipment for doing the Karazhan instance runs. A large factor of surviving big instances like Karazhan is having the right set of gears.
- 4.) Complete the Durnholde Keep (Old Hillsbrad) instance. In the Cavers of Time if you have not yet done so. Completing this quest will get you into the Black Morass instance, which you will need later on. If you have managed to run Black Morass, then even better.
- 5.) Head to Deadwind Pass. This area is located between Duskwood and the Swamp of Sorrows that you may have ignored until now. Bring a friend if you can. You will be fighting a bunch of level 69 and 70 mobs and even though they can be soloed, character leveling will be more bearable if you have a friend to help you.
