Capable of absorbing brutal punishment while dishing out tons of damage in return, the Warrior is the premiere melee class in the game. With great ferocity, the Warrior can go berserk and bring down his enemies while protecting his allies from harm. The best tanking unit in the World of Warcraft, the Warrior is akin to the Rogue in one respect; while the Rogue depends on his energy pool to perform certain abilities and skills, the Warrior relies heavily on his rage to defeat those that stand against him.

The Warlocks came about when the Arcanists and Shamans abandoned their studies and connection with arcane magic and forces of nature and learned the arts of the darker, Shadow-based magic. The Warlock utilizes curses and plagues to their maximum potential, using distance as an ally. In addition, the Warlock can summon demons at will and resurrect fallen allies to aid him in destroying those who stand in his way.

One of the few hybrid classes in the World of Warcraft universe, the Shaman combines the qualities of the Priest, Warrior, and Mage. The mix alone makes the Shaman a very versatile class in the game as this class can provide enhancements for the party without being too specific on any aspect of the game. Depending on how the Shaman’s skills are built, the said unit can be developed into an offensive spell caster, efficient melee combatant, or an excellent healer.

In the World of Warcraft, the Rogue class is the premiere melee fighting unit, able to inflict significant damage in a flurry of offensive strikes. The Rogue is a master assassin, utilizing stealth to its fullest potential and making the shadows his ally to gain the upper hand in every encounter. The Rogue can appear out of nowhere and disappear with ease, waiting for the opportune time to strike deadly blows.
In addition to using stealth, the Rogue is also an able poison maker. He can make concoctions that can cripple or damage his enemies, making them more vulnerable to his subsequent attacks. But what makes the Rogue a valuable asset in a party, aside from the tons of damage the unit can deal, is his ability to open locked chests and doors, as well as neutralize traps.

The best healing class in the World of Warcraft, the Priest brings a lot to the table – individual and group healing spells, party buffs, dispel buffs, and the ability to resurrect the fallen. Such attributes make the Priest a prized possession in every group.
While the Priest is seen and utilized as a primary healer due to his protective spells and healing powers, he can also do tons of damage with the use of either his knowledge of the Holy Light or the Shadow arts, should a Priest specialize in damage dealing. Either way, this only proves that the Priest is one of the most flexible units in the game.
